about

Hello dearest of Void trippers; it's time to indulge in the next thematic chapter as we explore the dark side of the Transhuman Agenda. Part of my mind is wildly fascinated with the trappings of a science fiction universe I love reading about in a good sci-fi story. Are we the aliens we've been searching for? Will we nanoadapt ourselves into chimeric alien hybrid creatures and populate the universe, only to watch us destroy it and ourselves? Give me those LED nanoink tattoos and teleportation devices. Sprinkle a little side of Star Trek replicators and hyperspace travel, and it sounds wildly fantastical and exciting. But at what cost does this technology come, both on the soul, and the structure of the universe, as we proliferate through and devour that which brought us to life? Part of me wants to believe there's some way out of this cycle; do we live forever or do we die again and again? Or maybe it's both at the same time…

VSI™ subsidiary corporation U-PLEXUS Universal is the pride and joy of the thirteenth universe, Lucidia. Specializing in Alkitek, a blend of alchemy, metaphysics, and science, the highly intelligent Lucidians discovered a way to fuse one’s soul within a crystal, allowing them to transplant themselves into bodies grown in laboratories across the lower lands of Lucidia. After a time, their civilization outgrew and strained the resources of the limited universe, which is merely just a small realm with an ocean, some land masses, and a sky with an energy source that acts as a sun. High above the stratosphere of the realm are a collection of floating islands, and beyond that, nothing—no stars, no firmament, just the void, almost as if it were a prison. Eventually, the need to reach the islands was a necessity. There, the Lucidians discovered strange ruins, which seemed naturally grown from the ground, covered in unknown glyphs and ancient text.
The most elite and intelligent of minds were sent to figure out the workings of the ruins, where they discovered a portal to the twelfth universe of Protolumia. This marked the first time that any sentient beings had broken from one universe into the other. After hundreds and thousands of years, the Lucidians went on to populate the entirety of the VSI™ multiverse, establishing themselves as the predominant species.
These days, soul crystal implants are as common as french fries across the VSI™ multiverse (invented on the planet Earth, the popular food item has been replicated across all universes), but the dark underbelly of the invention of the soul crystal, now popularly referred to as one’s Æyther Core, was erased by the history books by the elite minds; after stepping through to the universe of Protolumia, they demolished the ruins, ensuring their power and rule in creating the next version of civilization under their strict and curated guidance.
In the early days of research into body growth and soul crystallization, many turned a blind eye to the wild and loose experiments being held in various laboratories across the land of Lucidia. Trafficking of people living in areas of squalor was a popular method of ensuring a healthy supply of subjects to test wild drugs and perform magickal rituals on. Most turned a blind eye, as they were happy enough to be safe and secure. While Lucidian’s have the multiverse’s brightest minds, they are also a slightly refined and tweaked prototype based on the Cosmodia universe’s Homosapien, and as such carries with it the same emotions, and trappings of the human condition we here on Earth of familiar with.
The most ruthlessly brutal and insane of these experiments were carried out on an island in a vortex region in Lab 33, where the Chimera Transenlightenment Euphora Nonodaptogen experiments were carried out on the earliest of subjects while perfecting the Alkinanodaptagen process. The goal of the CTEN experiments was to Neuro-train the nanobot networks on the human biogenome. In order to produce the needed effects, stem cells with the particular hybridization target would be injected into the subject's spinal column, which would then be placed in a tank of highly oxygenated and breathable water infused with a colony of Alkinanobots.
The earliest trials of Alkidapotgenics yielded some of the wildest and best physical results, but due to the unstable nature of the psyche brought on by the horrors of trafficking and, by all Earthly means, radically unethical testing infringing on the outer edges of magick, erotic blood rituals, and sciences, the barbaric Alkidaptogens would be released into the wild of the island’s jungle, or sent to fight in the various wars happening around the mainland continent due to the strain on resources. As a side note, the few of the tens of thousands that did manage to survive the harrowing trials in Lab 33 are part of the original group that managed to break through to Protolumia.

This concludes this month’s mini-history lesson of the Void Space Institute™. We hope you’ve enjoyed a look into the early history of the Lucidia universe, and can’t wait to reveal even more in the coming time. Buckle up and get ready for a ride through the VSI™ multiverse!
